Attorney Murphy will be doing a Webinar on credit reporting for the Florida Bar Public Interest Law Section at noon on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. If you would like to sit in please email [email protected].

This is the course description from the Section:

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a widely used statute governing the collection, maintenance, and disclosure of consumers’ personal information. In addition to regulating consumer reporting agencies, the statute imposes a number of obligations on parties that supply consumer information to these agencies or use consumer reports. With FCRA litigation on the rise nationwide, it is more important than ever for counsel to be familiar with the FCRA and its implication.

Florida attorney and consumer law advocate icon, Robert Murphy will be delivering this Lunch and Learn webinar CLE presentation. Robert has been an active consumer rights attorney member in the National Association of Consumer Advocates since November of 1999 and regularly attends conferences and seminars sponsored by the organization. Robert is a sought-after speaker and writer on a wide range of consumer protection topics. He has appeared on ABC News Nightline and the PBS show “Law Matters”. Robert has been quoted in leading publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Miami Herald, Business Week and National Law Journal.
